Jenna’s Italiano Style Meatballs

1.5 lbs Ground Beef

1 lb Ground Mild Italian Sausage ( check ingredients)

1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

3 eggs

1 Tbsp Garlic minced

1 tsp dried Oregano

1 Tsp dried Basil

1 Jar Low carb Marinara sauce (here’s the one I use) 2 net carbs per 1/2 cup

Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese for topping

Olive oil for skillet

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 glass or ceramic dish.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop out the meat mixture into meatballs. Should make around 20 meatballs. In a large skillet place 2 Tbsp olive oil and place over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides. Don’t worry about cooking through, just brown on all sides. Once meatballs are browned on all sides place in prepared dish. Once all meatballs are in dish cover with Marinara sauce, top with Mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover with foil (spray underside so cheese doesn’t stick) and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 20 more minutes. Enjoy!

You can bake them all at once or fix half right away and freeze other half. They freeze great and you have dinner all ready for another night! These were so good, the husband thought they were from our favorite Italian restaurant! So I must have done something right!

This is like the one that I have, bakes evenly!
